Stillwater fly fishing on Idaho's Henry's Lake

The excitement of big fish and brook trout is what makes Henry's Lake so much fun. The midge hatch has pretty much ended and a few caddis are starting to appear. Thursday and Saturday (June 23 & 25) both fished very well.

This year, like last year, has produced good size and numbers of Brook trout. We have already landed brookies up over 4lbs. This one is not that big but was a blast to catch!
Henry's lake is a strong hold for the Yellowstone Cutthroat trout. The bulk of the fish we landed were cutt'ies.
